On Jan. 25, 20 students participated in the Stephens Elementary School Spelling Bee, hosted by LMTS Jennifer Pavlik and judges Principal Galanter-Guziewski and Instructional Coach Julie Fuller.
Each week, students at Stephens Elementary get to join in exciting, hands-on lessons during Curiosity, Arts, Mindfulness and Project based learning (CAMP) time. The class, led by REACH teacher Marcella Speich, the class grants student choice and voice.
This past summer, staff at Glenn Stephens Elementary had the opportunity to spend three days together reading Ruth King’s "Mindful of Race" to continue with their work around mindfulness, race, and equity.
100 vaccines were given at the Stephens Elementary COVID-19 vaccine clinic in November. Stephens Nurse Mandy Monson, bilingual resource specialist Ingrid Tornbaum De Richter, staff, and volunteers worked together to host the event.
Currently, the CDC recommends that children five and up get vaccinated against COVID-19 with the Pfizer-BioNTech pediatric vaccine.
