We are on a mission to close the gaps in opportunity that lead to disparities in achievement, and to ensure every child is academically challenged in a safe and supportive environment. As we work to keep this momentum going, we’re facing disruptive cuts from the state, which continues to approve budgets that are not supportive of public education. Learn about the operational referendum on the November 8 ballot and come to an upcoming informational session. Visit mmsd.org/referendum for details. #VoteNov8
If you have moved or plan on moving outside of your school's attendance area between September 1, 2015, and August 31, 2016, you may need to fill out an internal transfer application for your child to continue to attend the same school or feeder school for the upcoming school year.
To find your new attendance area, use the Find Your School tool online or contact your child's school. The deadline to submit your internal transfer application is this Friday, August 19 at 6:00 p.m.
During the day students will attend two assemblies featuring various student performances including dance, singing and poetry reading. A Hmong Dance group and The Handphibians will also be performing. In addition, an artist will be painting a landscape outside throughout the day. Parents and family members are invited to attend the Evening Spectacular:

It has been very difficult to determine if our science fair should be cancelled or not. We will make a decision by noon on Tuesday. If there is a snow day there will not be a science fair. We are looking at possible dates to reschedule and promise more information tomorrow. Sorry for the uncertainty.
